Born from the boiling imagination of Etienne Grassart, ParaPion is a board game based on the cross-country race in paragliding.
The project begins to take shape in late 2012 with the first paper prototypes, the first tests of the game's rules.
After a few successful tests, we decided to carry out the project, and make ParaPion a board game in itself.

We have continued the testing phase during autumn 2013, with full colored prototypes.
The actual game will be released in february 2014.

No english rules will be included, but a full translation will be available on the website. Action cards are in french, but some pictograms help you, and you need only remember a few words to play in english.

To play ParaPion, nothing easier: you regroup with friends or family, and open the box ...
You can be from 2 to 8 players, alone or in teams, from ten years on.
The game board is modular. We help you design it with a few examples, but you are free to place the hexes as you wish!

You each have a pawn, an altimeter and its associated altitude clip.
The goal: to pass the waypoints one by one from the start to the goal.
A dice helps you find the thermals to continue flying as long as possible, another tells you their power and your speed of ascent.

So far, so good - but it lacks fun! So we have designed some cards to interact with each other... you have to fly as fast as possible towards the goal while blocking your opponents.
